White Oak Real Estate Advisors was founded in 2007 by John Hampton, a commercial real estate professional with extensive experience in middle market investment banking, capital advisory and commercial and residential asset acquisitions.
Mr. Hampton has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate and investment banking industries, with a focus on joint venture equity placements, traditional and alternative debt financing, capital advisory and direct investments. To date, he has successfully completed over $1.0 billion in investment sales, joint venture equity placements, project-level debt financings and direct acquisitions and has advised clients on over $6 billion in commercial real estate-related transactions. He currently serves as Managing Partner of White Oak Real Estate Advisors and is the Managing Principal of an affiliate firm that acquires and develops commercial and self-storage properties.
Prior to the formation of White Oak, Mr. Hampton was with DTZ Rockwood in Atlanta, focusing primarily on office and retail investment sales. Prior to that, Mr. Hampton was with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler in its Investment Sales Group in Atlanta. Mr. Hampton started his career with Lehman Brothers in its Global Real Estate Investment Banking Group in New York.
Mr. Hampton graduated Magna Cum Laude with High Honors from The University of Georgia with degrees in Finance and International Business.
